MWR provides Navy personnel with a varied program of wholesome and constructive off-duty leisure activities that contribute to their quality of life. These opportunities extend to all active duty and retired military, reservists, DoD employees and family members. As a part of MWR, Navy Community Recreation provides chances for patrons to attend trips and tours all over southern California, take part in local leisure classes, purchase tickets, rent outdoor equipment, and enjoy on-base parks and picnic areas. Everything from kids craft nights to weekend camping trips and local brewery tours are planned and carried out by the Community Rec staff.
